Corporate Sponsorship and Team Update

Having watched in anticipation as the Hall for Cornwall has been transformed over the last three years, we have decided to become corporate sponsors.

We have done so because the Hall for Cornwall not only has the potential to host really good quality shows because of the increased seating capacity but they also get heavily involved with the local community, encouraging young people from diverse backgrounds to learn more about theatre and wherever possible to get actively involved.

As part of this, we will be sponsoring a school to take part in the HfC school’s programme. The programme invites open applications and selects 12 schools across Cornwall for a two-year partnership. This will enable the school to receive bespoke support from the HfC’s ‘Get Creative’ team specialists in drama, dance, music, reading, writing and performance, for young people as well as teachers, support staff and families to get involved in.

These links with schools will offer an opportunity for us to mentor students and to introduce them to the concept of ‘Creating a can-do culture’ in everything they do by focussing on communication, attitude, knowing their numbers, dedication and organisation. The material for this will be drawn from the successful talks that Jerry has given at a number of different international conferences.

As mentioned back in July, our whole team are now back in the office, and we have seen some changes in personnel. Tracy our former Office Manager moved to a company closer to her home to avoid the need for spending so much time on buses and Sarah has left to focus on her health.

Jacob and Helen have settled in very well and we are delighted to welcome Timothy Jacques to the FPC team as our Trainee Paraplanner. Tim graduated from The University of Leeds this year with a 2:1 in Geography and is an excellent addition to the team. He will be working closely with Jerry and Jacob to learn how to become an effective Paraplanner, he will also be studying towards the Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning and will in time be helping to look after all of the families that we serve.

After a time of change, we are looking forward to getting on with our core focus of helping each one of you to balance your life and assets. Please continue to take care of yourselves and your families, stay safe and we look forward to seeing you again soon.
